Last week I posted a photo of my super scrummy sausage rolls. To balance out healthy vs unhealthy I have decided this week's food photo will be simple, healthy but still really yummy.
Charles started preschool this week. We are encouraged to send our child with a piece of fruit or similar once a week to contribute towards daily snack time.
We forgot to send him with anything on Wednesday but yesterday we sent him with a big bag of apples.
I asked the lady what we are supposed to do with snacks and she directed me towards a small bowl on the table, I told her that our snack wouldn't fit in the bowl, and then pulled out the bag of apples and she instantly smiled. She thanked me and I could tell that she was really grateful....I'm guessing that parents tend to not stick to the fruit rule!
When we left Charles asked where the apples were and got upset as we walked home because he wanted an apple and couldn't quite understand why we left them there.
Once we came home I washed, sliced and served an apple for him and he was delighted.
I've promised I will greet him from preschool everyday with some apple slices to eat on the way home.
